UPDATE:
Deb's mom passed away last night. Deb asks that we please pray for her soul.
Thank you all.

My dear friend's mother is dying of colon cancer. She probably only has a few days to a week left. This is especially hard because of a long, troubled family history. Her mother is not Catholic. My friend has been a tremendous example of charity and forgiveness. This is very hard for her and I cry for her as I write this.
Please pray for my friend Deb and her mother. Please pray that my friend is assured of God's mercy and love for her, that she feel peace and not second guess the decisions she has made in regards to caring for her mother. And please pray that her mother, having suffered with mental illness for most of her life, have peace and clarity in these last days. Please ask Our Blessed Mother to place her mantle over this family and comfort them all.
Thank you all, I know your prayers can move mountains and change hearts.

Thank you Maria for asking for prayers for Deb, her mother and her family. Deb has been a beautiful faith filled example to me of how to live my vocation of a Christian wife and mother. I will pray for God's peace for their family.

I am so sorry, Maria. I had been praying for your friend and her mother, and will remember them in Mass today. May God have mercy on Deb's mother's soul. May she rest in peace, and may Deb find peace and comfort in Him as well.
