Does anyone go to Catholic conventions? Can I get feedback? I found a link for one in Illinois (where I live) last year, but this year that site links to this one in Wisconsin if I remember right... Has anyone been to this? or know of any others in the Mid-West that they'd recommend?

I'm going to this one and it is in MN. I haven't been before, but I'm told it is excellent. I know that Michele Q from here is going, and I think some of the MN people.

I was at this conference 2 years ago (because like you mentioned, last year it was in Illinois - and I didn't go because it was the same weekend as the conference here) and it was very good. I will be there this year. As a vendor I don't usually get to attend the talks but I did buy some on CD (Laura Berquist and Mary Daly) from the 2005 GMCHE conference and they were very good.
I'm looking forward to it!

We have gone to the Midwest Catholic Family Conference in Wichita, KS for the past couple of years. It is not solely homeschooling, but there is something for everyone. We love it. It is always the first weekend in August. I think Fr. Groeschel and Regina Doman, among others, will be there this year.

Christine,
This one works. I think you switched the order of the link with the text that shows. I do it all the time.
Dayton Catholic Homeschool Conference
I just looked at the website with interest. It may be the very weekend I arrive...

Not only is Elizabeth going to "be at the conference", she will be the KEYNOTE SPEAKER! And VERY pleased we are that she's coming (good that Mike's coming too, of course)!
I'll be coming back from SC that week so don't think I'll be here in time for the conference , but we've got some awesome Denver folks who will show the 3 of you a very good time, Elizabeth!

I'd be interested in meeting up with anyone coming to the Dayton conference. Just let me know when you're planning on being there. I'll be there the whole time as I am local and helping the planners as needed. Please feel free to PM me if you are interested in the conference and need any help with the area (lodging, sights, food, etc.) or if you'd like to get together sometime while you are here. I'd love to meet some of you!
God bless,
Christine
