Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a friend who will be traveling to SC Mid March and she and her family are looking for some neat places to possibly stop and visit along the way. Here is a list of states.

WI
IL
IN
OH
VA
WV
TN
KT
NC

If you reside in one of these states would you please be so kind as to leave a comment or e-mail me at theresa dot means dot net with information of "not to be missed" stops.

Thank you and God bless!

Theresa

NC:Great Smoky Mountains National Park (which is in NC and TN)is not to be missed. It is truly a shining jewel in our national treasury. In march it will be cold, (but not like you are used to!) but also good chance of warm weather. March is our transition month.
In Cherokee, which is just outside the park, there is alot of really cheesy tourist stuff that kids love, but also an EXCELLENT museum of the Cherokee Indian.

Thanks Theresa. I will direct Nicole to this thread so that she can keep an eye on this.

I assume that "VI" is suppose to be 'VA' - or is she also going to the Virgin Islands?

Ok, I couldn't resist, Theresa. LOL

I bet she wishes she were going there.

In my part of Ohio we have the lovely Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga Recreational area which are a lot of fun if you are an outdoorsy kind of person. There's the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Inventors Hall of Fame and the Football Hall of fame all within two hours of each other. The Cleveland Art Museum is great. Cleveland also has NASA with a lot of memorobilia from the space program. In AKron we have Stan Hywet Hall which is just gorgeous and the Perkins Mansion - both very historical. Canton has The William McKinley monument and museum. Lots of good stuff in NE Ohio!
