I thought this would be a fun thread for another snowy/icy day of snowsuits and hot chocolate! I think this a great way to get to know each other better.
Do you have a certain catalog or two that you love to dream over, with thoughts like "When I win the lottery, I am buying it all!"?
For me, it is J. Jill. Their clothes are so me! I honestly go through the catalog thinking that I could wear it all, even the jewelry. I love their flowing skirts and feminine tops. Once upon a time, I was pretty stylish, believe it or not. I was looking an old catalog last night and was struck by the modesty of almost every top. No low-cut or too tights shirts! What a concept. Even the nursingwear companies can't figure that out.
Another one, for my home, would be Pottery Barn. Again, classic styles, rather than trendy fads, not too formal, a place where both adults and kids are comfortable.
Makes you want to play the lottery tonight, doesn't it!
(btw, we do play!)

Oh, I don't have one specific catalog (although the Pottery Barn one IS nice!).
I like Cuddledown for sheets. I LOVE GOOD BEDDING! And they carry this wonderful cotton fleece blanket. OH MY GOODNESS.
Imagine sleeping on a warm cloud...THAT is what sleeping on my bed is like, when I've got it all dolled up. Feather bed...Cuddledown flannel sheets...fleece blanket, down comforter, AHHHHHHhhhhhHHHHHhhhhHHHHH....Truly blissful.
RESTORATION HARDWARE!! I'd drop a hefty dime there, too! When we built the "if we win the lottery/I write a best selling novel/every relative dies and leaves us everything except bills" house....oh my....

Maybe the IKEA catalog so I could fill my house with more storage spaces. LOL!
If I won the lottery, though -- I'd finish our backyard finally, hire a gardener to care for the said backyard to get everything established back there (I apparently have a black thumb) and put on a nice-sized addition.
We're actually seriously looking at an addition, but it would be nice if I won the lottery to pay for it, instead of taking out a home equity loan! And, I'm sure if money were no/little object, I would dream much bigger for the addition/changes to our current house.

Lots of ideas...right now, the Neinhius (sp?) catalog so I could set up a Montessori with money as no object. And then add all the atrium materials.
Restoration Hardware has made me drool...but a nice kitchen and some paid labor to paint and decorate, some new furniture and kitchen appliances...and window treatments.
The laundry list of things to do in the house is long, but the time and money is on the short side!

Right now, my "catalogs for daydreaming" are
Garnet Hill and
Ballard Designs
But for the longest time, it's been
Community Playthings (and I've never been able to buy anything from them, they're beautiful and well-made and oh-so-pricey).

I can't pick just one!
I'd furnish my kitchen at: The Baker's Catalogue and Williams-Sonoma
I'd furnish the rest of my house and garden at: Plow & Hearth
I'd furnish my wardrobe at: LL Bean
Oh, and I might have to peruse a new favorite: Victorian Trading Company
Fun thread, Molly!

Coldwater Creek for me. I love their clothes.
LL Bean and Cabela's for me and the kids.
No catalogs, but every book I have ever wanted and couldn't afford to buy, along with the biggest bookcase to hold them all.
Oh, and one of these!

I also love Coldwater Creek, LL Bean, and Plow and Hearth. Thank's to Molly, I'm now adding J.Jill to my list of wishes! Another one I like is Orvis

Dawn,
The little town we live in is home to Plow and Hearth! It is the biggest employer in our county. They even have an outlet store and annual tent sales!

Ditto me on Plow and Hearth -
I've been oohing and ahhing over their rooster and fruit rug... but I think that's as far as it's going to go, unless we win the lottery - but since we don't play (you're so funny Molly), I guess those rugs are going to stay on my computer screen to make me smile on a snowy day.

Molly, aren't they great? Everything they make is made-to-last. My dd went to a preschool 10 years ago and all their furniture and toys were from C.P. Ten years later I'm still drooling, esp. over this:
art cart
Lucky you!!!

Ruth, I believe you could spend millions in Costco! Court would run a close second to you.
I love Plow and Hearth too! Kathy, we should spend our lunch date there! After I win, of course.
I do often plan to whom most of our winnings would go, if we should ever win something big. St. Jude's Hospital and the Smile Train are two favorites.
Really, I don't want much. A new wardrobe for me and dh, and I am not talking Saks Fifth Avenue (do they have anything I would even wear? no idea!) and NEW clothes for my kids (Lands' End!) instead of ebay finds. We do want a farm with lots of acreage. But other than that, I don't feel a need to fill up with the latest and greatest stuff. Besides, I just watched Madame Blueberry last night. So I know that a "thankful heart is a happy heart".
You know, Costco kind of resembles that "stuff mart" in the movie!

I have to admit when I think of spending the lottery, I first think of remodeling and paying off our house.. then I also think of helping my sister move.. and helping my folks out some (medical stuff has hit them kinda hard)
But for a clothes for me catalog.. hmmm maybe The Territory Ahead It's not all stuff I can wear.. but much of it is stuff that I do like..
I need to go check out this J Jill

Nothing out of a catalog for me. I would travel the world!!
Edited to say that I didn't read the title of the post very well! I still can't think of a catalog.....maybe something that Rick Steves puts out. :)
