Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm trying to find a reliable rental service that isn't too expensive and has a good selection. (Science in particular.) I've seen a couple of services online that cater to homeschoolers (ACT and another one in Georgia), but they're pretty expensive. I'd like to know more about them, or about another service I haven't yet found, before I sign up.

Our library system has good books but a dismal DVD selection...and half the time the DVDs don't work because they are scratched.

Thanks!

Nancy -

Have you looked at Netflix? I saw a bunch of things on their list that looked like good educational options. There were various BBC documentaries and National Geo things. But are you looking more for things like The Teaching Company?

Maybe your librarian could help you get things from other library systems in the state. I know our libraries (Montgomery County) have all sorts of Teaching Company things (but maybe those are just audio, more like books on tape or CD).

Hope this helps.

Peace,
Nancy
