We're heading to a nearby LL Bean tomorrow to spend our accumulated Bean bucks! My oldest son especially needs pants. I'm sort of looking at spring stuff for me, too. (I'd love a blazer.)
I just thought I'd ask if anyone can tell me what their favorite items from LL Bean's are - especially if you can comment on boys' pants or women's wear.

I like their t-shirts, but really, I'm all about the shoes.

Ah, I'm so glad you said that, Jennifer! I have been wanting to try on their clogs as discussed in an earlier thread ...

Ummmm I am the proud new owner of FIVE new monogrammed totes. And my children tell me I'm easily influenced by my peers.

Look what I received today...
I'm also easily influenced by peers. I have the Quicken records to prove it!

Well, I think I we did fairly well. This particular store was much smaller than the flagship Freeport (ME) store where I used to go every summer ... still, I can't complain!
I did buy one pair of pants for my 11yo: Runabout Cargo Pants in dusty olive. It was the only color that had his size. (And the only style of pants that weren't shiny. )I plan to order the khaki and blue online. The pants are very soft and seem sturdy. I would like to order him these jeans and a pair of these pants. Then I'll feel like the boy has something to wear *other* than sport pants and sweats!
We also got some polos for the boys (red and navy) which were on sale. A bottle-blue long-sleeve t-shirt and a mariner blue weathered camp sweatshirt.
Fleece pullover for 7yo in red.
And - I couldn't help myself - a new spring cardigan for me (in pale lime).
I waited and waited to try on the clogs and a nice lady with whom I struck up conversation urged me to try these wrap clogs but they didn't have my size. She said she works in an architectural firm and is on her feet all day - she said they are the lightest and most comfortable shoes she's ever worn. I think I will order them.
The best part? I didn't even use all my Bean bucks! (we've been saving them for a looong time!)
Oh, and p.s. those new totes Theresa referred to are adorable, but I didn't see the kids totes.

Kelly, they do like their new things, but you would have thought they were being tortured *during* the shopping!
They liked looking at the kayaks and the aquarium and that was about it. I really don't care much for shopping myself - too crowded! I prefer my comfy couch and my laptop.
