I'm so embarrassed to post this, but I was visiting at somebody's blog, I think from this forum, and they had a really good apple cake recipe and cream cheese frosting. I thought to myself, "If I have any time this afternoon, I'm going to make that!" Well, the time came and then I couldn't remember where I saw the recipe. I spent the next hour searching for it to no avail.
Earlier today my dh had to erase our history because we unexpectantly had a BAD website pop up and they kept sending messages. That worked for the bad website, but now I can't trace my steps!
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Where did I see this recipe? It was a recent posting on somebody's blog. I'd be much obliged if someone could point me to it!
Whew! That was hard to admit! Does this happen to anybody else?

Hmmmm Dawn maybe? No, she posted about Apple Squares. I'm not sure, but I'm doing the tour so if I come across it I'll let you know.
Oh and yes, that happens to me too. That's why I now have my trusty little notebook full of little scribbles by my desk.

Ana, would this be the post you were looking for? (Scroll down a bit for the recipe.)

No, it's not it, but it is a good recipe! It had a separate recipe for the apple cake (reminded me of a gingerbread cake) and then a recipe for the cream cheese frosting.
Thanks for trying to help! Your blog, Dawn, among a few others, is where I go for good ideas and recipes.

Ana, I know that Danielle Bean has a lot of apple recipes, also apple cake recipes. Check out her site and on the left side bar click recipes.

Ana -
In Bookworm's Cookbook, Kathryn posted a recipe for "Dorset Apple Cake". Take a look. Even if it's not the one you were thinking of, it looks yummy.
Peace,
Nancy

Oh Nancy,
Who is Bookworm? I'd like to look at that recipe! I did find a good one in my new King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking book, but that one I saw two weeks ago was even easier from what I remembered.
Please direct me where to look!
Thanks so much for even caring about this little detail of my life!
