We're tumbling headfirst into playing lacrosse here. One of the men at our church (also a homeschooling family) is heading up a club so it's not through parks and rec or the schools and suggested that the activity level would be a good fit for my oldest son. So when they started up recently (they get together once a week in winter at the armory) he told us about it. And since it's a club.. it's just about any age level.. and so now we have my older 3 children AND my dh playing..

I'm trying to figure it out, figure out what equipment to buy (cheaply), and need to start in on how support for doing this works.

I did NOT do sports in school. Some things I did probably tranfer across better because of how some sports are run.. like constructive criticism that I learned in theatre is what they want you using in lacrosse.

But the whole.. "booster club" type of thing is totally foreign to me.. and even then that's not quite what they want but rather some people to help with the direction to take the club as well as fundraising but that would be the whole team, coaches, players, parents etc.

Any suggestions on where I might find some info? mostly on that part of how to do the "booster club" thing.
