Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Help! My kids are bickering constantly. They have been on a computer game fast as a result since Christmas break. My husband and I are waiting for them to stop bickering and truly get along so we can give them back there computer time. It's not working! How do you get your kids to stop bickering? My ds (13yo) was just explaining to me that "everybody bickers". I know when I was growing up my brothers and I fought all the time - BUT, that's not what I want for my kids. AND we were in school most of the day so we weren't together, bickering all day long. What can I do?

they need to learn a new way to respond to each other.. partly this is a habit and if they don't have something else to try and do.. they'll just fall back into the habit.

So when they start, they may need you to "referee" and stop them and direct them in how to have whatever discussion or conversation they're attempting.

Not that it'll be perfect.. but helpign them find a new way of speaking with each other will help a lot.. then after they really know (because you helped them through it a few times) how to converse with each other.. you can just stop them and tell them to either do it right or refrain entirely.

I tend to take away the privilege of talking- it makes for some quiet days around here!

Sometimes when my temper is too close to the surface I send them to different rooms for awhile(sometimes hours!) until they and I are calm and ready to speak nicely to each other.
