Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have lots of MUD and standing water on our new acreage and the tennis shoes and snowboots aren't working.

What boots do you use that are waterproof? Water still seeps into snowboots and they are impossible to dry! .

We get mud boots at walmart. Just tall rubber boots - as long as the puddles and/or streams don't flow over the top we are dry. You can also get "cute" ones at Target, last year I got some pink w/ butterflies for dd and green caterpillar boots for ds. They were not any more expensive. Places like Agway (is that unique to New England?) - farm supply, garden stores have then as well - usually much more expensive but it depends on if you care about colors and what your budget is.

My DH and I wear waterproof hiking shoes or boots and the kids use the rubber boots from Target.

We buy the plain rubber boots at Home Depot. They are not fancy or cute, but they get the job done! I think that dh said he saw extra tall rubber boots for the children at GI Joe's. Where are you?

Ditto the tall rubber boots from the farm supply store, online and even the Target/Walmart stores work well here. Mine are from an online supplier that was recycling old tires, don't rmemeber where they are from since they are so old.
DD's are from Tractor Supply this year.
I size to allow for thick warm socks, a snugger fit for me in the winter and a loose sockless fit in the warm months.

Great! I need to look locally, here. Every register in the house here has a shoe/boot trying to dry. The boys have to clean the garage in their dress shoes today!

Thanks. . .
