Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I thought this might be a fun thread for the beginning of the new year...

What are some easier/faster/better ways of doing things you have discovered since having children?

Here's mine: I recently discovered that it's easier to wash a toddler's hands at the bathtub faucet rather than the bathroom or kitchen faucet. The bathtub faucet is at her height, so I don't have to pick her up or drag a chair or stepstool to the sink.

This one is probably a "duh" for many of you, but I am a slow learner.

On Saturday evening, (actually this could apply to any evening, but Sunday is the only time I leave the house. ) find ALL the shoes, tights, dresses, underwear, hair pretties, and at least one hair brush, put them up on a high shelf, so the little elves don't run away with them (my elf has red hair and is 3 yrs old), and you might actually make it out the door to Mass on time!

Oh the wisdom that comes with age!

Another one: keep all little people underwear in a drawer in YOUR room, handing out one pair to each child each morning. This saves you from mysterious disappearances and the washing of clean underwear that somehow ends up on the floor or the hamper. But hey, at least they are using the hamper!

Feeling a little punchy tonight! Can you tell?

Happy New Year!

Ok, don't laugh...

I just thought that tie-dying everyone's socks would be a GREAT solution to the matching dilemma we "enjoy."

No, I don't stay up too late thinking about all of these things that parade silliness between my ears.
