Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was looking for a recipe online, and found it on BBC. The last line of the instruction:

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz

I have 20 buttons on my Oster, but none says "blitz" !

I know we have discussed weighing ingredients instead of measuring them, and strange desserts from Down Under...as an extension, anyone else find the odd instruction sometimes?

Not so foreign...but my hubby gave me directions once to put something in the blender "and hit MULCH"

He has yet to live that down!

Yep. Mostly in American recipes

I take it you did get the translation of "blitz"
