Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I hate shopping, especially for seven kids at one time. My brain practically explodes!

So, last week I finished my shopping at Hearthsong after weeks of deliberating. This weekend I get a free shipping email from them. I paid over $20 shipping! This morning I get their clearance email. I start looking at the website to find that if I had procrastinated, I could have not only gotten free shipping but saved nearly $100 on my order!

AHHHHH!!!

Oh that is too bad. Molly, I feel your pain. I ordered way back in October as our mail takes up to six weeks to get here and last year I got stung - Santa just did not deliver. I've been getting all those emails too and it's painful, but at least I know they would have done me no good.

At least you're done, right?

I would try contacting them - just tell them what you told us. It's worth a shot, anyway! (Amazon really took care of me last week)

One thing I did this year and it worked well, except that I didn't do enough! I bought a gift card every month when I was at the store -- major retailer, smaller gift shop, book store -- places I know family members like.

I didn't feel the money pinch as much, and now I can give them all the gifts they want. There are only two people that don't like gift cards, so I use those cards to buy them their gift! Saves time at the store during this hectic season.
