Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I read it, Viv, and wrote a review for Canticle magazine. It can be found here
(then scroll to page 18.)

I loved it -- what are your thoughts?

I really like it.
I believe it is giving me a valid definition of feminine.
How appropriate with similar topics on this board.

Kineke's blog has given me an eye opener to some harsh realities for women in this world too. Not for children's eyes, but puts one on gruard for the invasive,in many ways destructive, non-feminine nature of modern culture.

I liked it too but I thought Alice vonHildebrand's Privilege of Being a Woman is even better. I liked the way Kineke organized her book ... I just had some "huh?" moments with some of things she said (which I can't remember now, but I can find my comments if you'd like further details).

Enjoy!
