Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My sister forwarded this to me - It looks like Ascension Press is writing a book about Families and one about homeschooling for their Amazing Grace Series. They are looking for submissions of stories. Since so many of you are such talented writers and have such touching and inspirational stories I hope you consider submitting a story. Even if you aren't a writer but have a story to share they ask you to outline it for them. See info below:

Patti Armstrong, who is the managing editor of the Amazing Grace book series published by Ascension Press, sent me a message inviting Homeschool Mothers to send in inspirational or humorous homeschool or Family stories for publication. They are currently working on
books for Families and Home Schoolers. The books are geared toward Catholic readers.

These books are similar to the Chicken Soup books with 101 stories of inspiration, faith, humor and miracles. Payment for sending a story is:
five free books and a year's enrollment in the Seraphic Mass Association, and your bio will appear directly under the story. It's also a way to share God's inspiration and grace with others. Stories can be from anyone's perspective. We do not accept essays or opinion pieces, but want actual stories with uplifting endings thanks to the grace of God. We can have sad stories, but there must be some element of God's grace lifting a person up.

If you are not a writer, that's okay. Just send a brief
explanation of your story. If it's accepted, a writer will call and interview you. Then, you will see the written story for your final stamp of approval or to make changes.

The stories can be short--50 words--or up to 1,500 words. The deadline is January.

Thank you for your consideration.

God bless,

Patti Armstrong
