Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

When i started blogging I kind of hoped it would be a family blog. Kevin just got inspired to write a blog post,    on fire pits. Forget homeschooling, cute children and warm fuzzy moments... but talk about fire and he's there.

Just thought I would share in case anyone else was looking for the key to getting their DH's to be part of their blogging world. Apparently it's fire.

OR yard projects???
I like your blog, Bridget, and am tempted to try starting a family blog and getting my reticent boys to chip in occasionally. My husband has his own blog about his work.

Oh, funny.
I've been thinking of doing this too.
I've asked my oldest dd to write but she isn't interested. But she did ask about having a myspace blog a few months ago. I told her I'd set her up a blog if she liked...but not at myspace.

My two boys are really embarrassed by the thought of blogging.    Chelsea is the only one who blogs and loves it (she's so like her momma ).

Things are just the opposite at my house.

My dh's blog is way cooler than mine. He writes on it a lot.

I get such writer's block when I sit down to write a post.    Before I set up my blog, I had all kinds of ideas on what to write about and now, my mind is blank.

My dh will never do a blog, he just dictates for mine. "You should put this on your blog." "OH, put that on the blog!" "Did you put this on there yet?"

He does the same thing on the boards. He'll look over my shuolder and say, "You should tell them about this." or "Wow what's up with that? Ask them what's up with that!"

He's very nice about it and I suppose it's endearing on some level. He has become familiar with "The Look" though and knows when to wander quietly away.

The only time I've ever seen him type a response himself was at Catholic Answers on the topic of beer brewing types, brands, and methods.

Martha, I'm begining to wonder if we are twins seperated at birth!    My husband does microbrewing also! He was looking over your blog the other day and went on about how much your home looked like ours!

Tony does the 4Real blogs about once a week, and he's always making suggestions on what I should write about. Or we'll embark on an activity and he'll say to the kids "Children, prepare to be blogged"!

I tell my dh, that he really should become Catholic. Just think of all the guy pals he could acquire - the baseball fans (Elizabeth my dh loved the ESPN princess shirt!), the beer, the babies! Really, just a little shifting of theology (okay a lot) and he'd be right at home.
Oh well, he's a work in progress and I figure he's off to a decent start at least.

How interesting!

Isabella's been wanting to have her own blog but I've been thinking that maybe I'll just let her post on mine...

Btw, if you'd care to visit my blog today, I posted about an experience that Isabella had this weekend standing up against abortion...

It was a gift from one of the guys on dh's crew. It's way too big but will be a perfect onesie in the summer. I think it's totally adorable and so appropriate since he started this job just a week before she was born.

Oh wow. that's so sweet they did that for him when he hasn't even been there very long. I hope they continue to be so family friendly!

His boss grew up in a big family as the oldest of eight--I think this is a good fit
