A friend of mine just told me about these lovely long skirts for girls at Nordstrom. They come in little girls' sizes as well.
Wouldn't these look lovely on Christmas Eve?

Alice, these are lovely.
Thanks for sharing the link. I've been wanting to buy long skirts for the girls to wear to church. This may be just the ticket.

These are beautiful, Alice! But, my parsimonious side says that I could make a couple or three of these for the amount for one.....

Those are really pretty (but a bit $$ for us!). I'm just so thankful that there are lots of longer skirt styles available for girls right now. I probably need to stock up with 2 little girls! At local resale stores I've bought my older daughter (age 3.5) some size 5 skirts w/ drawstring waist that are nice and modest. And I love to find matching skirts and dresses!

Yes, they would be beautiful on Christmas Eve! I'm in the process of making my daughter (age 11) some modest fall/winter clothing. I'm not a huge fan of what's available as RTW.

I recently bought my daughter a long black skirt for church and it is really nice - comes in 3 other colors too.

Oh my goodness that is so pretty! You are right, those would be perfect for Christmas Eve! My daughters are still wayyyy too young for those...but it inspires me to start looking for Christmas attire for them.

Beautiful, Alice, thanks for sharing. I'm always on the lookout for skirts and dresses that are both modest and pretty.

That's funny---I was going to say "what a great price!" That's what I get for not knowing how to sew.
Thanks to 5athome for the other great link. Now, to find some blouses and sweaters that are pretty, stylish, modest, and affordable...

Lands End has some beautiful sweater sets for girls in three colors available that would be very nice with the long skirt....but they are pricey....

I just bought a couple of long skirts for my 2 bigger girls from Elegance (Little Touch of Elegance) that I'm very happy with. They are twill, I believe. I know I could make these very simply if I had the time but they were worth it for me, right now.
