Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi,

I finally decided, after a year of procrastinating to start a blog.   For now I chose to use homeschooljournal.net since it is free.   I am really struggling with figuring out some of the lingo and options.   One thing I would really like to do is add links to books we are using through Amazon.   I read about joining Amazon Assoc, which I did, but can't find how to add my ID at the blog site. Also, cannot figure out for the life of me how to add the links so the photos come in small and have information and links with them.   Can someone take me step by step?

I don't know which one of you has the blog there called Living and Learning on the Canadian Prairie, but you have the links like I want. (I noticed you are on the 4Real loop).

Can anyone help?

Hi Sharie! Thanks for viewing my blog!

I'm a little uncertain as to what exactly you are trying to do (I can be a bit dense at times ).

The links for our reading lists are taken from the Library Thing online book catalogue system. I've listed our current reading lists there (really easy to do). Then, under the link titled "Joy" there is a step by step process for adding your reading list to your blog. You can include your amazon ID within this.

The Library Thing site will then give a code (after you hit the "see it" button). You need to copy this code and paste it into a text block. You can find the text blocks in the "sidebar widgets" section of the homeschool journal site. (Go to presentation and then go to sidebar widgets).

Does this answer your question? If not, please feel free to PM me. I'll do my best to help.

Taffy

Can anyone use the Library Thing? Do I need to join Amazon as well? And importantly does this cost?

Erin,

Anyone can join Library Thing. You don't need to join Amazon. And you don't have to pay for their basic service (which is what I've used).

There's some more info on Library Thing here if you're interested...
