Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wanted to get on line this morning and ask for prayers for me today as we take our daughter to the convent today. I really need prayers to help me thru this happy yet sad day. I opened my email to find this from my 2nd oldest son who is away at college and can not be home to say goodbye to his sister. I cried liked a fool So I thought I would share the sweetness of our children no matter what age they are. And please pray for us today. God bless.

HI guys
Well I didnt realize that it was already friday I meant to send this sooner but hopefully you guys get it in time.
Kaylynn I'm sorry I cant be there for this special day I truly wish that I could I find great inspiration and admire you deeply for the step of faith that you are embarking upon. It's odd isn't it that I am the older one and it is you that I look towards for an example of humble obedience. Tuly you serve as a role model for the whole family in doing God's will. But than again you have always been there to help the family, from rembering bdays, understanding baby talk, or leting Josh know what to wear, and your last act on this side of the convent wall serves the family the most. Tears of joy run down my face as I realize my baby sister whom I have fought, played, laughed cried and shared so many memories with goes to be a bride of Christ. So many memories you have given us so many wonderful and happy ones and in so short a time. But a wonderful and joyous call was given and you responded with utmost faith and zeal it is only fitting that on this day we celebrate rejoice and praise God that another one has answered the Call. May there be no tears shed for today is not a day of letting go it is a day of embracing, embrassing the Call of God and His will never ours only His. So many times we say Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, but we hardly ever do. And today before all of our eyes you show us what that small yet important pray means. Thank you. You are bright light burning stead fast in a world of darkness never think that it goes unseen. I love you and admire you little sister may God and all of Heaven watch over you as you journey towards His Will may Our Mother comfort you in times of need you are forever and always in my thoughts and prays. -Matt

Mom and Dad
Congragulations!!!!!! I know this is a sad, exciting, happy and wonderful day for both of you. What a wonderful occassion for us all to reflect on our vocations and realize the importance of doing God's will. You are wonderful examples as well for doing God's will never once have you ever stepped in the way of Kaylynn while she was trying to follow God's call. God called your daughter to be His own and with out hesitaton you freely said she is yours "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh". Know that I still think of both of you as my heroes. Yes I still want to grow up and be just like my dad.

Wasssup 4 little ones (Lol)
Hey guys how have you been. I got to admit I'm kinda sad none of you have talked to me on the phone or anything lately:(. Nay just kidding mom fills me in pretty good but I always have time to talk to u guys if u want. Josh it looks like you the new family seceratery rembemer the most important thing amount leading is having others help. So make some one else in charge of rembemering for you (lol) thats the easy way to do things:). Can you bake as well as Kay? or are you going to just neatly arrange oreos and snicker bars:)) hahahaha. If you need any ideas I got lots (sushi, calamari, egg rolls, ohh the list goes on)
well everyone take care and if you have any pics to send that would be cool

I love you all
Matthew

Jackie,

What a beautiful letter from your son, I was mesmerised You have raised a wonderful young man.

To you all on this day as your daughter goes forth to be a Bride of Christ. It is indeed a bittersweet day. But unlike other mothers of the bride, you have the assurance of knowing that your daughter's Groom is indeed Perfect. Again.

Thank you for sharing that beautiful letter. It was nice to peek inside a relationship of grown siblings. I want so much for my children to always be each others friends and it was very reassuring to see that it can happen.

I'll keep your daughter in my prayers....what an honor to have a sister in your family.

God Bless you all!

OK, I'm crying. That is so precious. I'm praying for your family, I can't imagine how hard it is to let her go. My daughter has been saying for several years that she wants to enter a convent. I know this could change, but I pray it doesn't. And I already dread the day, even though I want her to answer God's call for her.

May He give you all strength and shower down blessings for your gift to Him!
