Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wondering if there might be any interest in this.
I was thinking that one way we may be able to bless each other here on the board would be to share resources.
For example, I have the "Story of the World I" CD's that I will not be using this year. I don't want to sell them because I know I will be using them again later. But I hate to have them just sitting on the shelves not being used. I would be willing to send them to someone on loan for a term in exchange for, say, some Jim Weiss CD's or some of the saint stories (Glory stories?) I keep hearing about but can't afford right now. I also have books I could lend, like A Mother's Rule of Life or Domestic Tranquility in exchange for say, Catholic Homeschool Companion or Peak with Books.
I don't think this would violate any copywrite laws, as no photocopies would be made (and we would not lend things that specifically forbid it).
Anyone else think this might work? Or not?

A system like this might help for such an endeavor:

A thought for you to ponder, perhaps you 'donate' a couple of dollars to the lender, because if you lend your books out too much you may find yourself wanting to replace them due to wear and tear. So a dollar here and there would add up if you needed to do so. I believe that MANY years ago libaries had alending fee.

It's a generous and neat idea. But I wonder if it would work in practice?

Accidents happen even when people have the best of intentions. What if the Story of the World CD got scratched or mangled or even lost in the mail? I consider us a careful family, but my kids have destroyed a library book or two (spills, etc) and my CD player has ruined a CD.

Still I think it's ideally a wonderful idea.
