Does anyone know the best time of the month to have hormone levels checked via a test? I assume timing matters.

I suppose it has to do with what they're testing. I'm having a workup done, and my ob/gyn wants the first tests done on day 3 of my cycle and the second tests done between days 28-33. Hope that helps.

I was told if you're testing progesterone levels they should be checked around cycle day 19.

Day 3 checks estradiol, FSH and LH, sometimes Progesterone. Day 21 or 7 days after ovulation (very important if you have shorter or longer cycles) they check progresterone levels.
