Hey, my son Johnathan was just awarded the Army Achievement Medal!
I think I had mentioned something about him being in charge of the live fire exercise a few weeks ago in my intro. I thought maybe he was exaggerating about actually being in charge but he wasn’t, .
I was thinking there was no way they would put a private E2 in charge of firing live artillery rounds, but he is really good at his job. Not only did he excel at his own position, but he also helped the other platoon fix their firing problems.
Not bad for a “home schooled” kid, . (That was what his commander said when he graduated number one in his class during OSUT).
