Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Long story short--we're putting our household goods into storage. Should we get a unit that's climate controlled or will it matter? It's hot and a bit humid here and we're going to be keeping things in storage for about 4 months.

Will the books be okay? Furniture? Clothes? Help!!!

KC, if you can, definitely yes climate controlled. The changes in heat and humidity can cause mold build-up on furniture and books. I know from experience. We lived in Houston for a while...

Definitely climate controlled. If Texas is anything like Florida, after 2 months we had mildew all over our things, and books were warped from the humidity.

But, did I miss something? Isn't your dh in Iraq? Are you moving twice by yourself???

I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to either blog or post about what's been going on in our lives.

We're building a house and it won't be finished until October. The place we live in is a rental. When we asked for an extension on the lease, they raised the rent by almost $300. So, we said no thanks. So, most of our household goods are going into storage until the house is finished and we are moving in with my parents. I didn't really want to because I felt I should be able to do this all by myself, but realized that was my pride talking. Also, it's not about my not being able to handle things without dh, it's about the best thing for my children.

So, since apparently, I don't have enough stress in my life we are doing a move sort of twice.
