I took this test after seeing it on Jennifer's blog. I just visited Alice's blog and noticed that she had taken it, too. She mentions that Elizabeth and Jenn also took it. Elizabeth mentions that Maureen tipped her off to the quiz.
With the above in mind, I thought it might be fun to share our mothering styles here. We can visit each other's blogs for more information.
I am the "Love of Learning" Mother. The description, actually fits, especially the part about being an avid reader.

ESTJ - the "How-To" Mother
Ouch, that's a really accurate way of saying I'm a bit OCD.

Do you feel like these are accurate? I'm rather embarrassed to say I took it this morning (before breakfast) and had to change my answers later with more thinking. What does that say about me?
I usually come up ISTJ, and although some of it applies to me, I never feel like that is me to a "T" (neither does my family). Now some of the other answers are partially my style, but not completely either. I think I may be ISFJ.
I have this problem with temperament tests...

Hi Jenn...
I thought the same thing about the results of my test. I either score ENFP or INFP and when I was reading about all of the personality types, I kept saying..."Well, that's me...and that's me, too."
Oh well...it's just for fun right...IF you're an ITFJ and I'm either an ENFP or INFP what does that say about the test!?
Then again...maybe it isus

I came up TLC mother the second time around. It's an awfully brief test...how accurate can it possibly be??

Well, I was a "Know Thyself" mother (INFJ), but I also took it a second time and came up "Love of Learning" mother (INTP)! I think the thing is, you can read a bit of yourself in each option. Dh said this is like a personality test he once took for work years ago but his was much more complex. Interesting and fun, anyway.

I have to agree though, I wonder how accurate these tests are, one question I felt neither one was really me, on the other hand I could see parts of me in both descriptions, I just had to pick the one where I 'weighed in' more.

I think that would be the Kiersey Test. I keep meaning to check out "Please Understand Me II"...as I have the first one book, but the second is supposed to be better.

INFP "Tuned In" mom here too.
I don't know if the description they offer fits me as a mother, but usually the INFP description fits me as a person, if that makes any sense.

I'm the "Responsibility Mother." ISTJ.
It is interesting to see what a wide variety of personalities there is among the homeschooling mothers on this forum. I struggle with feeling like I would be a better homeschooler if I was more extroverted and less bothered by disorder. After taking this short test, I can see that each kind of personality has its own strengths (and challenges).
This goes to show that there's not an ideal homeschooling mother personality. Each of us makes homeschooling work, but in different ways. Thanks for the link, Christine!

I'm an INXP -- on Keirsey's test I came out even between Feeling and Thinking and I had a hard time deciding between the two on the Mother's test, too. But I think the Love of Learning fits me a bit better than the Tuned In Mother because I usually am not that tuned in -- would like to be!

I took the test also. I'm a "Tuned-In Mother".
I was wondering what the differences were between the book offered at this test site: "MotherStyles" and the book "The Temperament God Gave You" by the Bennetts.
Would anyone happen know?

I am new here and have yet to interact with others - hope you don't mind me joining in on this!
Such a small test with obviously quite a few varied outcomes, mine is ENFJ - Heart to Heart Mum it would seem.
