This smartphone thread has me asking another question.

1) Is the calendar on the iPhone iCal?

2) If yes, how do you make something repeat monthly on the same day? I want repeats every 3rd Tuesday and the only option is monthly.

Am I missing something? It is very frustrating to have to manually fix every single repeated date.

I just checked and it doesn't appear you have this option on the phone. I adjust all my calendars on my laptop in iCal, and you can certainly access that repeat option there. In iCal on the laptop, there is a "Custom Repeat" option that allows you to choose First Friday, every third Tuesday, etc. But for some reason, that isn't an option on the iphone, nor on the ipad.

A workaround if you don't have a mac with iCal: share your calendar with someone who has a mac. Have them set the custom option for you for that date.

This is just a basic component of a calendar. I don't get it!
