It is a mess on my computer and I don't know if it's firefox or I've picked up a virus or who knows what. I have pop-up ads galore! I have random links on all webpages (including here) that is advertising. I've checked my settings and nothing has been changed. The Firefox home page has changed to snap do search engine with ads. This happened yesterday. I'm about ready to take it off my computer, but trying to problem solve before I lose all my bookmarks.

That sounds like malware. You might try Malwarebytes Free anti-malware program

The Firefox webpage seems to be up and working fine.

I did find the program on my computer and just uninstalled it. That took care of all my problems. I believe it is malware. No idea how I picked it up. I try to be so careful! Ugh!
