After much prayer and late night-into the wee hours discussions, Nick and I have decided to adopt a baby boy from Guatemala! We are working with All God's Children . They have accepted our application  and we are starting on the process of compiling our dossier. Please pray that this process goes smoothly. Also, please pray for the baby that will be our son, as well as for his birth mother, who, at this point, probably hasn't even conceived him yet. But God knows who she is.
We are so excited! We aren't telling family members until we are a little further along in the process-so you guys are the first to know!

Jennifer -- that's great! my sil/brother adopted 2 little boys from Guatemala and ( since one is my godson) they are perfect little guys!
I'll keep you in my prayers that the adoption goes smoothly and you soon have a little boy home with you.....

Congratulations!!!!
Our ds is adopted from Guatemala, and we are currently in the process of adopting another baby. 
I can't say enough about the kindness of the people and beauty of the country.
Of course, I can't say enough about how totally sweet and cute our little guy was when they brought him to our hotel!! He was the easiest baby. There were 10 babies in the hotel with us and for 4 days I never heard one of them cry or fuss. They were all so content and happy. Our ds once didn't cry for nine days and it scared me. 
I can't wait for you and your family to your son home!!! Enjoy all the paperwork!

Congratulations, Jennifer. A friend of mine just adopted 2 siblings from Guatemala. The little guy is 8 months old and the daughter is 2 1/2. They are beautiful. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
