Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The group of homeschoolers that I belong to is planning to have a book swap soon. Are there any guidelines you can think of as we try to organize this? We are all very close friends and I would hate for something like the price of a book to come between us. Also, is it okay to sell used syllabi or lesson plans? I know it is not okay to make copies of them for people but I wasn't sure about selling them at a low price once they have been used. Thanks!

#1 Rule--if no one wants what you bring, YOU must take it home with you .

I think the rules for resale vary by company. For instance, I think Sonlight is ok to sell butthe new owner would not be eligible for their 50% off updates while syllabi from Calvert specifically say you can not sell it.

At the last booksale I attended, one person was designated to pick up any unsold curriculum that people did not want to take back home and it was donated to some organization.
