Ok, last week's Wednesday in the World articles didn't go over big, but I'm still optimistic that I can find a way to bring the latest online content related to family interests to 4Real members in the hopes that it will be a blessing, make us laugh, and/or motivate us in our family life and learning.
This week, instead of posting here directly, I posted What are you reading online this week? at my blog. I sure hope to chat with you here or there about any articles I linked to and/or I would especially be happy to read the articles you are enjoying.
Hope to chat with you soon & have a fabulous week!
Love,

Here's a blog post for us moms rather than the whole family.. but I really appreciated it this week.
What? You're Not Perfect Either?
When the kids were little I was forever trying to have the kitchen clean before bed.. but I was so tired.. it wasn't until I finally gave myself permission to have the kitchen completely clean once a day regardless what time it happened that I ever felt like I was "keeping up". I did much better cleaning the kitchen after lunch when I didn't have any helpers.

Yep!
The one thing that has helped me immensely is to be truthful about who I am. I've never identified primarily as a homemaker. When women who highly identify with being a homemaker, I love to read their stuff and learn from their expertise, yet I am cautious to not feel less than.
I love having an ordered home. I get there primarily through organizing space, managing time, and training my troops. I'm with you, Jodie. I really try to look for times that match up best with the task that needs to be done and the person who needs to do it. Right now, I do a quick clean and organizing of the house at 6:00 am when the kids are still asleep. I used to do personal care at that time, but find that I can get a lot done, think, and head into the day with a good start. So obviously I'm cleaning because it wasn't all done the night before, lol.
And right now I'm looking at 3 major projects strewn across my dining room, living room, and patio. It started as one giant decluttering and rearranging project which is down to its last pieces. Yes, I still have people to my home and no I don't apologize. I cringe a little though :) I will be one happy camper when they are all done.
Thanks for sharing!
Love,

Oh Angie,
you are brave. I break out in a sweat when I hear someone is coming over. It takes me a week every time to feel like it is good enough (not even perfect mind you) for someone to see. I guess I need to just cringe
