Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Ladies,

You may all already know about this little trick, but it is new information for me! I hope this helps someone else!

Yesterday my Brother printer was out of toner. When it displays that it is out of toner,it shuts down and will NOT let you print. PERIOD! I was in the middle of making some books to bind and knew I had to go and get another toner cartridge. Well, when I got home late last night, I realized I had forgotten. What did I do? I started comparing prices at Staples and Office Depot on my computer and something made me read the reviews about the toner cartridge.

HERE IS WHAT I LEARNED (AND IT WORKED!):

You can get LOTS more copies out of your toner by placing tape (I used duct) over the sensors on each side of the cartridge!!! Here is a link to where I found the info:

http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/692050/Brother-TN-360- Black-Toner-Cartridge/#reviewTab

Another piece of info I read about these cartridges is that there is a switch that allows you to save more toner and the factory presets them to "OFF". I have not found that switch yet; I was too busy finishing my copies for the books! (Does anyone know where that switch is?)

I saved my 2 other toners (I use TN-360) from this brother printer (4 in 1) and can't wait to TAPE them up!

God bless,

Jill

Jill....thanks for the great tip.

I will admit. I cliked on your post because I was intrigued from the title. I though that your real life Brother was a printer.    Okay, I clearly need more coffee!

Too funny! I really should have put Brother MFC-7340 Printer NOT "My Brother Printer". After typing that, I thought it looked funny!

I'll definitely be using this tip when my printer comes up w/ no toner left!

Too funny about your "brother"! Who couldn't use more coffee anyway?
