I was looking to bump a thread since this is "Bump a Thread Thursday" but it seems this annual event has never been posted... 
It is my favorite summer freebie day: 7-11 Day (because it is 7/11) when they give away free Slurpees. This year they even bumped the size from 7.11 oz to a small. We LOVE  this day. I know, I know...revealing my not so healthy addiction. Have been once - headed back this afternoon - the kids have been a few times. I won't tell you the all time high for one day that we have reached in the past...
...that is the "Brain Freeze" emoticon!

We don't have 7-11 stores here.  I grew up with them though and I LOVE SLURPEES!!!!!!!
I saw that today was free slurpee day on FOX news this morning and I've been in mourning ever since!!!

That's cute Mary  My dh took the kids earlier and there was a line of about 40 people so he drove to a different one (not as busy  ) As they were slurping I heard one ask can we go again Not sure if he plans on it later, he tries not to miss this every year

We've been noticing that it is more crowded this year. Must be the increase in Slurpee size.

And I am supposed to be finishing up on my work for our homeschool conference which starts tomorrow - and here I am driving around to 7-11s !

A friend of my oldest ds came by last night, picked the kids up and took them all to get slurpees. She's such a sweet heart. Of course, my kids were bouncing off the walls until way past bedtime, but the 7-11 Free Slurpee Event is not to be missed!

We love that 7-11 honors St Benedict.
Now Mary, if I were there for the conference I would have picked it up for you.
We got ours while on the road to Grandmas house!
