As many of you know I am passionate about the arts. In original art the Holy Spirit can do some of His best and most profound work. I could go on forever about this subject, especially digging deeper into what Pope Emeritus Benedict has written about......I digress.....

While attending the Ignited By Truth Conference in Raleigh NC this weekend I discovered a very talented new music artist.

His name is Kevin Heider. He is a Steubenville Grad and a self taught musician. It is clear that God has blessed Kevin with an amazing amount of talent and that he is allowing the Holy Spirt to work through him.

I can't say enough good...really!   I don't listen to many modern CD's because it's all quite harsh on my senses (JennGM--you understand). But, I have listened to the first CD of Spark a few times and it's very easy to listen to even though he classified his genre as Rock.   

My pre-teen son is singing along to many of the songs and really enjoying the pure music talent. As we were discussing the album and trying to pick our favorite song he turned to me and said, "There really isn't a bad song on the CD!" I had to agree, i don't skip over any of the songs we enjoy them all.


You can purchase his CD's on his web site or through itunes!. Please support this young, talented artist that has the ability to be the change we need in the music industry!

ALSO, he has ties to the Baltimore/NOVA area and is very willing to do private concerts. If you have a youth group or church function, PLEASE, consider bringing him in. You won't regret it!   Or, if you have a large function DEFINITELY bring him in! At the conference he really appealed to a wide range of people and was very inspirational.

My son who is currently at FUS has gotten to know Kevin Heider through mutual friends. He is quite impressed with not only his music but him in general. So I will second the recommendation.
