I know it's here somewhere! Perhaps I left it at your house or mailed it to you by accident? I have gotten stuff done today, but my to-do list is long and I'm not working on it that fast. I think because everything I need to do doesn't have a deadline. Well, school plans must be completed by Monday morning. I know what I need to do, but I can't get moving on these projects because my mind feels like mush. I really need to make a list as those are helpful for me, but my mush-brain won't let me. I have a ton of reading to do, but not quiet to do it in. I ordered a reading chair for my bedroom and it would be here today if it didn't snow. But, again it is hard to read when you mind feels like mush.
Well, anyway, if you have seen my motivation please send it my way.

My resolve is getting squishy! We took the week "off" for appointments (hair, dentist, vet, orthodontist, dermatologist, Peabody testing) and I just said "yes" to two interruptions next week: an indoor rock climbing birthday party on a Tuesday and a (1st time ever)downhill skiing day trip. We'll be finishing this year's curriculum in July at this rate!

That is why we took this week off. I had a few appointments and I was going to schedule a hair appointment. Well, because of a snow storm my dental appointment was rescheduled and I forgot to schedule one for my hair. So, now next week will be busier because of rescheduling.

Today really isn't looking any better! I think I'm going to blame the snow plow guy. I really think he plowed away my motivation yesterday in one of his many trips up and down our road.
I didn't sleep last night and had planned to sleep in to catch up, but I was wide awake at 6:30 am, which is early for me. Two hours later and I'm still in Pjs. I did tell myself I was going to exercise this morning. I'm waiting for my energy to show up for that. But, heck we are on break this week, so at least we aren't getting behind in school!

I do find that, sometimes, I need to make plans for *external* motivation rather than finding it in myself.
For instance, after months and years of avoidance, as well as multiple boys passing pants down for years, I've come face to face with the fact that ALL my boys play pants have holes in the knee, leaving them with barely one pair of jeans a piece that decent for going out AND we are spending a week with grandparents in the coming weeks, meaning I either allow my children to run about like the utter ragamuffins they are, I buy them all new play clothes, or I patch the pants.
So, today is "patch the pants" day to see if I can take a day to make them look somewhat presentable.
Anyway, my kitchen always get *really* clean when company is coming, etc... Finding ways to give things without a deadline some sort of outside accountability is all I have sometimes.

Gosh, I'm just plain old tired! It's hard for me to stay motivated when I'm tired.
I wrote about Mastery as motivation, here.
Maybe all of our motivations went kayaking .
Love,
