Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

From Mary Sheehan, author of It's So You:

The Year of the Fabulous Closet

I like this a lot! Now to implement it...

That article is really great. Mary Sheehan is so down to earth and practical.   I have been following her "It's So You" advice for almost 2 years. It's really amazing. Less is more!   Even my dh commented this Sunday when I was getting ready that it was amazing how all of my stuff matched!

I do need to go through my closet and really all of my families.....    This is just the kick I needed to face the challenge.

Thanks for posting Jenn!

I love this! New motivation for the New Year.

Just dreaming here... wouldn't you love to be one of her clients IRL?

I don't know.. I got her book for my girls and I was browsing through it and the whole coordinated wardrobe thing almost felt constricting.. I like having lots of color in my wardrobe.. and while in the main I do know which colors look good on me and which don't.. restricting those colors to just a handful.. nope

Gah! Someday, I really want to do this, but going into a pregnancy seems to be the worst time to figure out whether you want to keep stuff or not. I would love to simplify a bit more, but I'm guessing that this isn't the year for me, lol.

well I certainly wouldn't use this for my regular clothes when I'm pregnant.. but I probably come closest to using her methods with my maternity clothes.. since it's generally a fairly short time it's easier to deal with fewer choices.. though I suppose since she was talking about just winter clothes.. that if I was more particular in seperating out seasons of clothes then I'd only be looking at 3 or so months of any set of clothes.. that sounds more doable.. and of course the fewer clothes you have the faster they wear out so you would have to replace stuff more often and could change it up that way.. of course then you'd HAVE to change it up that often and may or may not be able to get something that really works for you. so many things to think of..
