Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hmm... I have never done matching clothing with my dd because there is never a guarantee that she will wear anything I buy her. Also- not sure that the same look goes well for two people over thirty years apart in age

That said, she has recently told me that she would like us to have matching Pjs, which would be kind of fun for Christmas.

I have started looking around... not much luck. Lands End- can't get two nightgowns the same, and not really excited about the mom's nightshirt.

The Company Store- some possibilities there, if I want to spend close to $100 on two sets of PJs... which I really don't.

No luck at Walmart.

Any ideas? I could make us matching flannel pj pants as a last ditch. I just feel like there must be some place out there I am not thinking of....

I just got matching ones for our kids at The Children's Place. We do matching/coordinating PJs every year.

The fleece sets there are around $18/pair.

That said...I have no idea about adult PJs!

When my kids were smaller I bought them at the children's place. This ear I did buy the lands end ones, just pants for the boys and DH and I ( I get coordinating shirts later) and a nightgown for daughter. This is our first year including parents in the matching pjs :-)
Lands ends has a 30%off with free shipping promo right now.

Two years ago I made matching flannel pj pants for everyone (6 pairs). I bought solid colored t-shirts to match. It took about 9 yards of fabric (on sale), my two girls helped with the sewing, & everyone was tickled. Now we've handed them down until only the youngest has a pair left. Ours had green Christmas trees on a light green background.

I've done this, too. PJ pants come together so quickly, and if you go with plaid or stripes, you could do it for the whole family, making yours and your daughters girly by adding a ruffle or capri length.

I'm another advocate for the quick flannel pj pants on the sewing machine with solid long-sleeve tees from the store! I have Kohl's in my neighborhood and it's easy enough to find these on sale sometime before Christmas. Go to the boys' section for quality and simplicity. :)

If you don't want to have to sew, A bunch of options came up when I typed in "mother daughter pajama sets" on Google.

These are some great ideas- thanks!

I might have to bite the bullet and sew, because although I love the Hanna
Andersson and Company Store options, they aren't cheap... close to $100 just for dd and myself. And my dd has very definite fashion ideas. There is no guarantee we would ever be wearing the same pJ's at the same time

But just buying the flannel pants and then pairing those with t-shirts from Kohls or LE might be a good option. Several yards of flannel at Joann's would probably cost as much as buying the pants made, and then there would be my time as well.

And it never fails- whatever fabric is on sale at JoAnn's is not the kind I want or need, and then if it is, there isn't enough left on the bolt. Or my favorite- I manage to find the one bolt of flannel in with the sale bolts that is actually NOT on sale, and I only figure that out at the check out

JoAnn's wears me out.

I have found cute pants and separate tops at Old Navy...we are all fine in sweatpants and long sleeved Ts though. I also have been able to get really nice nightgowns for me and jammies for the bigger kids from Lanz through Vermont Country Store catalog. I didn't like the little kids as much, they are a different blend.
