Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Jenn just mentioned finding the Magic Schoolbus complete dvd set at Costco for $27- what a great deal.

I was at Costco today and found a couple of things that will be gifts:

page a day Audubon bird calendar for $7.99. The pictures are gorgeous and perfect for the bird fanatics at my house. We'll keep this one in our learning room.

Sparkling cider 4 bottle set. I like to give these as cub scout leader/ piano teacher gifts. The set of four is under $10, and a bottle or two along with some chocolates or cookies makes a nice gift. I like that it's cider and not wine- as I am sometimes not sure how wine will go over. And it is all consumable... which I also think is great.

Lindor truffles were $5.99 for a bag... yum. These are good gift toppers or nice to put 3-4 in a sparkly net bag to give with a Christmas card. (Heck- I just cut a square of sparkly fabric and tie them up with a ribbon).

Lego Brickmaster books are $14.95- my ds loves these. He spends hours playing with them.

Costco also had some nice mittens and gloves for children and adults. These are snow kinds -- and I think they were less than $10, but I can't remember. We ran out of time and couldn't find ds size.

Costco has the entire set of Beatrix Potter books for about $27 again this year. They aren't the original size, but I bought them last year and am very happy with them; they come in a nice box set and the only difference because of the size is that the formatting of pages is different with the text and picture placement. The small original sized set is over $100 so I was giddy to find this.

Also, the Komachi knives are a fabulous deal. The colors threw me off but they are the best knife set I've ever used at a less than $100 price. I think they are $30.
