Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for some type of magazine for my dd, who recently turned 8.

She sees her brother hovering near the mailbox, waiting for his next issue of Boys Life and Lego Magazine, and I know she'd really like something special like that of her own.

We already get a couple of science/nature magazines, which they both enjoy.
I just need something especially for girls. What about the American Girl Magazine? I have looked through a couple of issues at the library.... seems OK from what I saw, but I wonder if it is more for older girls?

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

We love American Girl here. My dd started getting it around 8 or 9. If your daughter reads well, she will enjoy it and so will you. As she gets older, we like Kiki magazine. It has fashion, crafts, projects minus the advice and articles about---well, most things you would not want your tween/teen to read.

oh, thanks! The reviews on Amazon looked encouraging, but it is much more helpful to hear from someone here that it's a good one.

I think I will put this on her Christmas list
