Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So what is your "go to" gift this year?

Are you making something special? Have you made a fabulous Etsy find that will be the perfect gift for someone?

My only discovery is the Lego Brick Master books on Amazon. $20 for an
awesome set of legos that can be used to create several different items.
My ds LOVES these, and there is a new one out for boys. Also- they now have a brick master set for girls.

Lego Friends Brickmaster

New Lego ninjago

So, that is a start, anyway...

I was going to make mittens for everyone . . . . . . didn't happen and it's already to late.

I have no ideas! I started a Pinterest board to keep track of stuff we could use for gifts. I thought this would be a new way to share of Christmas wish list that everyone ask for.
Still have a lot of work to do on the gifts I need to get for others!

Well I started by browsing my wish lists at Amazon I found several books, including some Christmas themed ones that I wanted but had to reduce what I got last year.. I hope to get a few more of those this year.

And I was seriously thinking about a kicksled.. if I could just be sure we'd have a snowy year

Then I realized we need some blackpowder guns and other equipment if we're going to continue this so then I leaned that way..

Plus we should be close to a store that sells old fashioned toys (also black powder event types) that I would love to check out when I don't have to pay shipping on the items.

Cath Kidston was having a huge sale in August, and they had their Cowboy printed tent and sleeping bags on deep discount. I got a tent and four sleeping bags I think I will buy us our own copies of the Ralph Moody series and call it a [cowboy] day.

We already have that printed wallpaper in the toy room, so I imagine it being a fun winter addition for indoor play.

PLEASE...say it ain't so!    I just moved 3 weeks ago and the thought that "Christmas is coming" might send me into a closed closet for a very long time!

You can't run....

Right now Lifecycle books
has specials going on their Christmas cards. Also, they have some really pretty ornaments featuring Madonna and Child.

I am always on the lookout for religious ornaments for our tree, and they have some of my favorite pictures of Mary and Jesus. I might get a couple of these to give as gifts as well.

They also have prolife magnetic bumper stickers- some really cute ones, as well as the big rolls of prolife stickers (lots to choose from).

After a discussion here a couple of years ago, I have been using the stickers on all my outgoing mail. You never know who will see them!
