It has been a week since 100 degree weather that we have had since mid June! First time in a long time that my boys have been able to go out after lunch and burn off some energy!! They said it was cold out! I told them to play harder! Thank you Lord!!! Been getting a little bit of rain here and there. Still much more is needed, but the warm season grasses have turned a little green again, so I know that it is helping. Just enough I didn't have to water the dying flower beds this past week. Thank you Lord!! Is anyone else having a slight break from the heat and drought?

Actually we're in the midst of high temps.. but they're not especially high.. mid-90's mostly.. but it's been a week and we're looking at another week at those temps. We normally have more variation and frequent breaks back into the 80's. But we're also looking at the peak of summer here and we'll start seeing the gradual change to fall.. still high temps but more and longer breaks and the temps after the breaks don't get quite as high as the last time etc.
