Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are leaving soon. We will visit Niagara Falls on the way to Salisbury Beach, MA. Any tips/ideas on where to stay or things to see. We are planning on doing the Freedom Trail in Boston and visiting the beach.

What about parking in Boston? We have a 12 passenger van! Taking the T seems intimidating with 8 kids!

Thanks,
Stephanie

We had no children the last time I was in Boston, but we enjoyed touring Old Ironsides and then walking to Bunker Hill. We also went to the House of Seven Gables in Salem and then drove up to Glouschter (sp?) which was very picturesque. I have not stayed in Boston (we had a friend that lived there), but I've heard it is very expensive.

In Niagara, we stayed on the Canadian side. It was 8 years ago, but back then there was not much to do on the American side. As a kid I enjoyed the tour that took you down behind the falls in tunnels. Awesome! We also walked to the base of the American Falls.

Yes, the Canadian side is more interesting, but the American side has Old Fort Niagara!

Here are a few of my favorite things to do up there:

Whale watching (not cheap, but amazing!)
Climbing The Flume\ in New Hampshire
Our Lady of Grace Shrine in NH
We just really enjoyed driving around the beautiful little towns in Vermont and NH and driving up the coast of Maine
We loved the zoo in Providence, RI
Museum of Science in Boston
This swimming area near my sister's house is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. You might want to call first, but when you get there after 5, it is free (at least it was last time I was there).

These are all great ideas! Thank you!

Has anyone been to Acadia National Park in Maine?

I'm from NH, so I'll have a few suggestions.

In Boston -

-The Aquarium
-Boston Museum of Science
-Children's Museum
-Freedom Trail
-Red Sox (!!)
