Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi, Donna Marie! You caught me in a lull...the girls are out playing and Wonderboy is running errands with Daddy, so it's just napping baby and me here. (I just woke up from napping with her.)

Anyway, here's how to make a list of our blogs in your sidebar:

In Typepad, click on the Typelists tab.

Where it says "create a new typelist," select List Type: Link.

Make up a name for your list, like Real Learning Blogroll or whatever suits you.

Now you'll enter the URLs for the sites you want to include. The easiest route is probably to go to one of our sites and click your way down the list, cutting and pasting the URLs into your typelist as you go.

Also, on your Typelist screen, you'll see a Configure tab. You'll want to click this and make a few adjustments: increase the number of items to display (at least 40 for all the Real Learning Blogs), display order (alphabetical?), and change the "Display Notes" setting to "as text."

OK, so now you've created a Typelist full of your favorite blogs.

To make it show up in your sidebar, click "Weblogs," click "edit design," click "change content selection," and click the box next to your new Typelist. Then click "save," and then you can use the "change ordering" option to move the list where you want it to appear.

To make a list of favorite books, follow the same steps but choose "Reading" as the type of Typelist at the beginning.

Make sense?

(P.S. I'm moving your question to a new thread, just to keep things streamlined.)
