It is. The twins are now 3 months old (how did that happen so fast?), we've finally moved into our new diggs, and I'm beginning once again to feel that peaceful tranquility that comes with settled contentment. I've missed being here, feels so good to rejoin you all! Just wanted to say hello

Oh Chris, it's so nice to hear from you! I have kept you in our list of expectant mother prayers every morning, knowing that those first 3 months are the hardest with twins. It is so true, you feel like you are finally coming out of a fog.
I am so happy for you that you are coming to that stage. You can really start to enjoy them, your other children, and life again. (not to say that one doesn't try to enjoy all that during the first 3 months. It is just such intense focus on just working to feed and keep them healthy, and sometimes even alive, if they have troubles eating, with dehydration or weight-loss, etc.) For the first 3 months we literally only got about 3 hours of sleep a day, 5 if we were really lucky, somehow the Lord gives you the grace to bear what you could never bear any other time. Then they started to eat better, etc. and life got a lot easier, and we could enjoy things again, and give a little more of ourselves to the other littles, etc. I am happy for you, dear friend!

That feeling is so nice, isn't it (and I've never done it with twins!). I'm so glad things are settling down. It will be nice to see you online more!

Congrats and know the feeling. I only got the few hours of sleep each night the first few months too, and around this time, you really do hit your stride and fall into a peaceful routine! So happy for you!

Good to see you here again, Chris! I remember the three month mark; it was when we finally felt brave enough to take all five kids out of the house! Enjoy those little ones!

Chris, I'm so happy to hear this! Welcome back, you were missed. I didn't have twins, but I know exactly what you mean about the fog. I think there are various stages of fog in raising children. My youngest is 4 and I finally feel like I can think straight and have deeper and more concentrated meditation and contemplation.
So looking back, I like to revel at every stage and remind myself that the Holy Family stayed hidden for 30 years, so I need to be patient!
