Mary M. just caught me posting somewhere else....before I posted about the new baby....I got caught up in reading all the posts from the week I've been away!!
LUKE ANTHONY
was born on April 12
4:02 a.m.
9lbs 2oz
22 inches
healthy and beautiful!
I did it all naturally!!! Yeah! My labor started on Tuesday evening. Cash made it home just fine and my sister came about midnight. I was having fairly good contractions throughout the evening, but they started to get painful around 2:00 a.m., but nothing very consistent. At 3:00 a.m I woke up Cash and said, "Let's go the hospital and get some drugs!" I was faltering.....from everything I read it was the classic textbook response! Cash was amazing! All of the sudden, the contractions were three and four minutes apart and he said, "Let's go!" I was like, "Well, let's wait and see....", thinking they had to get closer than that. He basically forced me out of here - thankfully!!!! We left the house at 3:30 a.m., got to the hospital and was in the bed at 3:45 a.m., and Luke was born at 4:02 a.m.!!! I can't say I was the model of calm and peacefulness that I envisioned, but I never yelled or anything like that! My good, great friend, who is a labor and delivery nurse at this hospital, and my doctor barely made it! All in all, it was a good labor and delivery, just very fast! And, our biggest baby by about 2 pounds!!! with the exception of our C-section baby, who was 8lbs 4oz. It took me a minute for the fact that we actually had another boy to sink in, but I'm still in shock about the weight!!
Luke is doing just beautifully and the whole family is just in love. It is all such a miracle and I want time just to stand still!
O.K....way too chatty and much more than anyone really wants to know!
THANK YOU for all of your prayers and encouragement. I know that is what got me through those few rough hours.

I enjoyed reading the details of Luke Anthony's birth. Thank you so much for sharing. A natural labor and new bundle of joy are both wonderful reasons to rejoice! Your Nicholas has a buddy now - I bet he is over the moon...
