Hello,
I have the privilege of helping a young woman with her wedding in April. She is the daughter of a dear, dear friend who passed away three years ago.
She and her fiancee will be married in the Traditional Latin Rite and I think everything is set there. If anyone has experience with a wedding in the TLM, though, particularly if there are little things she must or could do to personalize the ceremony, etc., that would be great.
But, really, I am looking for a few great websites she and I could use to plan this wedding. Catholic websites would be great, but also just good wedding sites. I think her budget is modest and she is a very simple gal.
We're going to put together a binder, so any sites with lists/forms to print out would be wonderful. The idea of a binder made for a great laugh by all when she quitely said that she'd bring her laptop to our meeting. Guess a binder is so 90s. :) But, she did think having paper in hand was valuable and I agree. Also good for samples and receipts, etc.
I feel very confident planning parties, but also want to make sure she is making the decisions and I am simply the worker bee. :)
If you've planned a wedding lately and have this kind of information at your fingertips and can send the links, I would appreciate it.

Well, if I were planning my own wedding these days, I would for sure be using Pinterest to cull some images I like and want to use as inspiration. Maybe she could find some jumping-off points there?
Sounds like so much fun, Erica! Wishing the bride many blessings.

Funny you should both mention Pinterest.
Mary M. was at my house yesterday and mentioned the same thing. She should be back again any minute!!
I will check it out.

Yes, isn't that funny. Seems to be the online "go to" place for planning ideas. It's a great way to collect creative ideas - very visual. I can't help with ideas for a good general wedding organization site. I would imagine the top ones are all pretty similar.
I think it is really special that you are able to do this for your friend's daughter. What a gift you will be giving her of your time and care for her during this very special time in her life - one I'm sure she wishes she could share with her mother.

Bridal Bargains is a great book. The authors also have a forum under their Baby Bargain site here.
