Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

On my Christmas list for this year is a Mary Statue, big enough to use for a family May Crowning.

Any suggestions on What to get, Size, Where to buy, What is a good price etc

Thanks!

I'm all ears, because I really want a nice one, too, for the garden. Do you want yours to be an indoor or outdoor statue?

I found a very lovely heavy grade plastic statue on Amazon of all places! It's 34in. tall and $70. It is in our garden and we get compliments on it all the time.

It will work very well for our May crowning this year. It's hollow with a plug hole in the bottom so you can fill it with water, sand or stones. We put stones in ours and it hasn't tipped once --not even in the hurricane when everything else was all over the yard!

A local friend replaced her chipped and broken statue with one of these.

I was thinking a 12" plus one inside that would look good on the buffet.

I have a painted cement one in the garden, I don't know why I never thought of using that for May crowning... I guess since it's still pretty cold in May here.
