Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK, currently taskrabbit.com only serves San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Boston, but I thought...what a great idea! It was the picture of the guy in the DMV line who got me thinking, "Oh ya, that is totally worth a few buck!"

What things would you like to hire a taskrabbit to do?

Here's one:

Take my ds to his back to back to back appointments on Wednesdays.

Love,

oh, I LOVE this. is there a decluttering-the-house taskrabbit? or a laundry one? how about a sweeping-up-tiny-objects-and-dropped-food-before-the-baby-ea ts-off-the-floor taskrabbit? I'd totally pay for that!

on a more serious note, this reminds me of some advice offered recently (as I was stressing about house projects piling up while I planned our school year) that if you can pay someone else to do a task, it may not be "worth" your best time and energy. (that doesn't really apply to the many responsibilities in this vocation of motherhood, of course, but it did help me prioritize for a few weeks of planning.)

OK, back to bunny envy ...

I HAVE IT! I've been trying to come up with something I really need that's an errand type of thing..

They could take all my laundry to the laundromat and bring it back clean and folded

Wow, what a concept! Imagine, you're fresh out of high school or college and don't really have very many marketable skills. But hey, people will pay you big bucks to do the things you don't want to or aren't able to do. Really? Get paid to stand in line at the DMV for someone? Genius!
