Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Looks like you are getting a fantastic new archbishop - though it will be our lose . Congratualtions to Philly! May you be abundanly blessed.

And please pray for Archbishop Chaput, if indeed he is the choice as all the major sources are indicating. He will need our prayers.

Oh my goodness! Why Mary? Because Philadelphia is much bigger? More important (as far as 'moving up' in the ranks)? Just guessing/asking...I really have no idea how these things work. :)

I had heard rumors...

Mary, when I heard this my first thought was that you and everyone blessed with Cardinal Chaput would miss him terribly. He'll certainly need prayers in Philly. I'll pray also for your new Bishop. Do you know when you'll hear who that is? I hope we don't lose our Archbishop Joseph Naumann in Kansas City. He's super! We're really blessed.
