Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

ladies I need help with fb . is there anyway to get rid of that chat feature ? I am not a multi tasker at all and I have this dilema that people send me a chat . I feel rude not to respond but I'm on fb to do stuff . I'm reading or putting phots on or seeing my children .
I cannot do these chats and that stuff . then I don't have time when I'm done the chat.
I feel rude not answering when someone sends me a chat line if I don't respond I appear rude . I can't say , Hi I can't talk but I'm still gonna be here on fb .
so is there an option just to turn that thing off somehow .
I know this seems so trivial I mean it is only fb but I do not like to hurt anyones feelings and who knows who I may annoy next

I have no idea how either but would love to know how too. That thing stresses me out. It feels so awkward to me. Hoping someone knows...

Click on the chat bar in the lower right corner, then click options, and then click go offline. I suppose you have to do this every time, but I am not sure.

If you go offline, it should keep you offline until you switch it again. I was totally "offline" for a long time, as I wanted to avoid certain people striking up a conversation at the most inopportune times! Then I decided that I wanted to be able to chat with a select few (basically, my husband and my sister) so I made a friend group called "family" with them in it. When you have friend groups, they show up in your chat window and you can enable them separately. So, I can turn on my "family" group and leave everyone else off. That's now my default setting. Just a word of warning - when you create groups, the people in the group can see the name of the group that you put them in, so don't make a group called "people I'm avoiding in FB chat"! You don't have to put everyone in a group, just those you'd like to single out.

Two things I just learned yesterday: don't assume that you are offline on chat if you set it that way - it logged me back on when I returned to facebook (but not every time), and two, if you are online at the same time someone else is and you private message them, it will send it in chat also.
