Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So how do you find one? I have browsed Care.com before but now you can't even post a job or contact without paying their monthly fee. I don't really have any friends in this area nor do I know anyone. How do you find a babysitter when you first get to a new area?

Great suggestion. I am a bit shy around other people so this will be a good personal challenge too. :) I just started at a new church so it's a good opportunity.

And at our parish many of the teen babysitters advertise in on the cry room bulletin board.

I've had great success finding babysitters through homeschooling groups too. They often have experience with younger sibs and can be available during the day.

I will check through church, thank you so much. For some reason I never thought of checking through the church.

My Catholic mother's group has an official babysitting co-op (organized through hivemoms.com) so we trade points for time and never have to feel guilty for asking for babysitting. It's the only way for me because if I have to pay a babysitter I won't have enough money to actually go anywhere with my husband.

We found our 2 teen sitters through the local homeschool association.
