Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I like Family Fun, and Your Big Backyard for the kids.
Somehow I got a subscription to Martha Stewart Living (I think with dh's frequent flyer points), and I enjoy looking at that, though they do seem to pile up .

My favourite, actually its my dds. Its better homes and Gardens. She likes The recipes and the sewing ideas.
She even had her Grandad putting up a swing sort of designed from the magazine article.

Family Fun is a favorite here - though my subscription lapsed. I'm waiting for that big once a year discount that was posted here last year. I also like Martha Stewart Living, This Old House, mater et magistra, and This Rock.

Mary-

Wait no more
Family Fun

Use the code MOMMYSAV15 for an extra 15% off. That makes it under $4
to renew. I just renewed mine last week. It takes about 8 weeks to get your first issue.

I really enjoy Cooking Light it has some great healthy recipes and sections on healthy living.

For my kids I've really enjoyed for dd 10: Spider, for dd 6: Lady Bug, for dss: Baby Bug and Cobblestone for everyone (since we're studying American History). They like getting something with their names on it too .

I have to admit I recently subscribed to Mater et Magistra and really enjoy it for home schooling articles.

Smithsonian is my fav. It's the only magazine we get that I make sure NOT to let our subscription lapse.

The only one we currently receive is National Geographic. I finally decided to let my subscription to Mothering lapse - I had a very love/hate relationship with that one. My mom gives me her old Better Homes and Gardens, and those are fun to flip through occasionally. I like getting magazines like that second-hand, because then I don't feel obligated to read everything, I can just laugh at the Catalog Living-style photos, drool over a recipe or two, and toss it!

The magazine I read cover to cover is Mater et Magistra (which my copy came today, so I'm very happy!).

I have Martha Stewart Living, but I'm not finding it as attractive and interesting any more.

I also have Herb Quarterly which I enjoy, and Cooks Illustrated. The latter isn't always fun to read because I'm weeding out what CAN I use in my kitchen due to allergies.

I tried Family Fun last year and did not end up reading or using it much, so I didn't renew.

My boys have Ranger Rick and Animal Baby and they love, love, love them. Ranger Rick we've had for years and I think my ds has memorized the issues.

Faith and Family used to be my all-time favorite, but they seem to have fallen off in quality over the last few years.

Prevention
Whole Living (used to be Body and Soul, but it's a Martha Stewart product so I think they changed the name recently to sound more like * a Martha Stewart product*).

Peace,
Nancy

As well as some of the aforementioned.....

Ready Made
Mother Earth News
Southern Living
Do It Yourself (Love this magazine)
The Old Schoolhouse

we get more than this, I recycle them or toss them every single month to keep them from piling up.
I started asking for magazine subscriptions for Christmas years ago to avoid inappropriate and/or unwanted gifts for our family. It has worked out well for us. Plus, I can usually grace another family or two when they send the renew your subscription and get a free subscription for a friend notice.

I gave up on Victoria, because the new edition seemed so different...lots of selling, focus on STUFF, not necessarily ideas. It was just a general feel I had.

And Faith and Family I used to love, but I think it has gone down, too. Less substance more feel-good stuff.

Oh, yes!!! We love this one, too. Just recently let our subscription lapse--it's hard to keep up with subscriptions when you move as much as we do!LOL! Thanks for the reminder!
